Answer a takedown
If your board came down over a copyright claim and you believe the claim is mistaken, this is how to say so. It is a counter-notice under the DMCA, and filing one has real consequences - read the next paragraph before you do.
What filing one does
We are required to send your counter-notice, including your name and address, to whoever filed the takedown. Then, between 10 and 14 business days later, that takedown stops counting and we put your board back up - unless they tell us first that they have filed a court action about it, in which case it stays down until that is resolved. If another takedown also stands against your board, it stays down until that one is resolved too.
You are swearing to this under penalty of perjury, and you are agreeing to be sued over it in a named court. If you are not sure the takedown was a mistake, it is better not to file.
File a counter-notice
A counter-notice comes from the person whose material was taken down, so this one needs you signed in to the account the board belongs to.
