Cureate's terms

Last updated 28 September 2026

Draft: this site has not said who runs it yet, so the operator, the contact address and the law below are still placeholders in square brackets. Nothing here is in force until they are filled in.

Cureate is run by [OPERATOR LEGAL NAME]. Making an account means agreeing to what is below. It is written plainly on purpose - if a line of it is unclear, write to [OPERATOR CONTACT EMAIL] rather than guess at it.

Who can have an account

You have to be old enough for us to give you one. We ask your date of birth once, when you sign up, to work that out. One account per person, under your own control, and while Cureate is invite-only you also need a code from us.

Your board is yours

You keep every right you already had in the words, pictures, drawings, songs and code you put on your board. By publishing it you give us permission to store it and show it to people who visit it - that, and nothing else. We do not sell it, license it to anyone, or put it in an advert.

Published means published: anyone with the link can see it, and search engines may copy it. Take it down whenever you like and we stop serving it, though a copy somebody else already made is out of our hands.

What you may not put up

  • Anything illegal where you are or where we are.
  • Somebody else's work, without their permission.
  • Somebody else's private information, or a picture of them they did not agree to.
  • Sexual content involving anyone under 18. We report that and we do not argue about it.
  • Harassment of a person, or a campaign against one.
  • Code that attacks, tracks or misleads the people visiting your board.
  • Pretending to be somebody else.

Code you write

Cureate lets you put code on your board, and it runs in your visitors' browsers. We run it in a sandbox of its own, on a separate domain, so it cannot reach your Cureate account or theirs - but it is still your code running on somebody else's device, and what it does is yours to answer for. Everything in the list above applies to it.

Links and files

When you paste a link, our server fetches that page to make the preview you see. When you upload a file, we store it and serve it from a separate domain. Upload only what you have the right to.

When we step in

We can take down a tile, a board or an account that breaks the rules above, that the law requires us to take down, or that would put somebody at risk if we left it up. Where we can, we say why. If we get it wrong, write to [OPERATOR CONTACT EMAIL] - it is worth telling us.

What we do not promise

Cureate is offered as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that nothing will ever be lost, or that it will keep every feature it has today. Keep your own copy of anything you would hate to lose.

Nothing here takes away a right you have by law where you live.

Ending it

You can stop using Cureate whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account. We can close an account that breaks these terms. Either way your published board stops being served.

Changes

These terms will change as Cureate does, and the date at the top says when they last did. A change that matters we will say out loud - in the app or by email - before it takes effect.

Which law

These terms are read under the law of [JURISDICTION], and that is where a dispute about them is settled.
